Important Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat, Tokay.
Personal Comments:
Chamber's is a wonderfully old-styled winery, with the entrance gate next to the hay shed, and the tasting area in the large iron-roofed bottling area - an almost open-air experience. Bill Chambers's reputation as a wine judge is very high due to his wide-ranging wine interests. This is exemplified by the list of wines available at cellar door which include such examples as "Reisling & Gouais", "Frontignac" and "Blue Imperial, Alicante Bouchet" amongst the standard Reisling, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon. If anything I think Bill Chambers spreads his talents a little thin, but that's his decision and not mine. He also makes wonderful Muscats and Tokays which rank with the best from the area.
