2008 Man Booker Prize

The judging panel for the 2008 Man Booker Prize for Fiction is: Chair Michael Portillo, former MP and Cabinet Minister; Alex Clark, literary journalist; Louise Doughty, novelist; James Heneage, founder of Ottakar’s bookshops and Hardeep Singh Kohli, TV and radio broadcaster.

"The Booker dozen", the 12 or 13 books under consideration by the judging committee, will be anounced in early August. The six shortlisted titles will appear in early September, and the winner will be announced on October 14.
